【About the Role】
We are a leading supplier of MiMEP-integrated and mechanical & electrical (M&E) building materials. We are seeking a well-connected, client-facing Pre-sales Solutions Engineer with deep knowledge of the local M&E market and hands-on site experience. You will act as the technical bridge between our clients (owners, main contractors, MEP subcontractors) , our factory/supply chain, and project sites. You will take full ownership of technical submissions, product documentation, and client technical liaison for our product range. Possession of a CIC MiMEP Master Class certification is highly preferred.
【Key Responsibilities】
- Client-Facing Technical Liaison: Serve as the primary technical contact for owners, consultants, main contractors, and MEP subcontractors. Leverage your existing industry network to support business development and lead technical presentations, product clarification meetings, and design coordination sessions.
- Market & Industry Insight: Apply your strong understanding of the local M&E materials market, competitor landscape, and industry trends to position our MiMEP solutions effectively.
- Factory & Supply Chain Coordination: Bridge the gap between project specifications and manufacturing capabilities. Coordinate with the production and supply chain teams to ensure proposed materials are technically feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with site delivery schedules.
- End-to-End Submission Ownership: Independently prepare, manage, and close out all technical submissions for our product range, including:
- Material approval submissions (samples, catalogues, test reports).
- Technical product manuals and O&M documentation.
- Compliance declarations and testing certificates.
- CSD / BIM coordination inputs (where required).
- Regulatory & Specification Compliance: Ensure all submissions and product documentation strictly adhere to contract specifications, particular specifications, and relevant statutory requirements (ArchSD, EMSD, BD, etc. ), as well as major codes (BS, IEC, EN, local COP).
- MiMEP Expertise: Apply advanced knowledge of MiMEP (Multi-trade integrated Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) methodologies to provide accurate technical advice and submission support. Candidates with CIC MiMEP Master Class certification will be优先 considered.
【Qualifications & Requirements】
- Education: Degree or Higher Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Essential Experience:
- Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Hong Kong M&E materials market, including key players, pricing dynamics, and project procurement processes.
- Industry Network: Established relationships with owners, main contractors, and MEP subcontractors. Ability to leverage these connections to support business development and technical discussions.
- Supplier/Contractor Background: Proven experience in a technical role within an M&E materials supplier or MEP contractor environment.
- Client Communication: Direct experience presenting to and negotiating with clients, consultants, and project owners on technical matters.
- Full Submission Cycle: Must have independently managed end-to-end material submissions for MEP projects, including preparing approval packages, responding to technical queries (RTQs), and closing out approvals.
- Product-Specific Knowledge: Hands-on experience with the submission and technical application of at least several of the following: Bedhead Trunking, Cable Containment systems, Air Ducts, PIP, Pipeduct, HDPE Pipes, and related accessories.
- Documentation Expertise: Proven ability to compile product manuals, technical catalogues, test reports, and handover documentation (O&M manuals).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with ArchSD, EMSD, Buildings Department (BD) requirements, and major design/installation codes (BS, IEC, EN, COP).
- Coordination Tools: Proficiency in reading CSD (Combined Services Drawings) and BIM models to understand material interfaces.
- Highly Preferred:
- CIC MiMEP Master Class Certification: Completion of the CIC Master Class on MiMEP Project Implementation (Project Managers) or equivalent .
- Experience working on government or institutional projects with stringent submission requirements.
- Familiarity with GSBS and local submission protocols.
