【About the Role】
We are seeking a skilled Solution Engineer to lead the system design, technical solution development, and project implementation oversight for our renewable energy portfolio. This role focuses on Photovoltaic (PV) systems, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging infrastructure.
You will be the key technical authority, translating project requirements into robust, compliant, and optimized engineering designs, and ensuring successful on-site delivery in the Hong Kong market.
【Key Responsibilities】
1. Technical Solution for Bidding and Pre-Sales
- Design and develop comprehensive technical solutions for integrated renewable energy systems, covering PV, BESS, and EV charging installations.
- Conduct technical feasibility studies, load calculations, system sizing, and equipment selection (inverters, transformers, battery racks, switchgear, etc.).
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications using industry-standard tools (e.g., AutoCAD, PVSyst, Dialux).
2. Project Technical Oversight & Implementation
- Act as the technical lead throughout the project lifecycle, from design and tender to construction, testing, and commissioning.
- Supervise on-site installation activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, Hong Kong regulations (EMSD/CLP/HKE), and safety standards.
- Lead the Testing and Commissioning (T&C) process for EV-csystems, ensuring performance meets design intent.
3. Stakeholder & Compliance Management
- Liaise with utility companies (CLP Power / Hongkong Electric) for grid connection applications and approvals.
- Prepare and submit technical documents to government departments (EMSD, BD) for compliance and permitting.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues on-site.
4. Technical Innovation & Support
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and industry trends in renewable energy and smart grid solutions.
- Provide technical support to the sales and business development teams during the bidding and proposal stage.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering standards and best practices.
【Qualifications & Requirements】
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
Must-Haves:
- Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant working experience in renewable energy or E&M engineering, with hands-on involvement in PV, BESS, or EV charging projects .
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of power systems, renewable energy technologies, and relevant design software (AutoCAD, PVSyst, etc.) .
- Local Knowledge: Familiarity with Hong Kong's statutory requirements, utility submission procedures (CLP/HKE), and government approval processes (EMSD/BD) .
- Languages: Proficient in Cantonese (Native/Fluent), Mandarin, and English for effective communication with local stakeholders and Mainland China counterparts. Candidates with mainland background are welcome
Licenses & Certifications (Highly Preferred):
- Electrical License: Holder of Registered Electrical Worker (REW) is welcome
- Professional Membership: Corporate membership or working towards membership in recognized institutions such as: MHKIE, MCIBSE, MIET, CEng or equivalent certificate
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with SCADA, BMS/EMS systems, or power system modeling tools .
- Background working with Mainland Chinese equipment suppliers or engineering teams.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits across Hong Kong or the APAC region .
